Kensington Mine - Bridge Replacement

Project Overview

Kensington Mine – Bridge Replacement
Kensington Gold Mine
Kensington, AK

In 2016 AAP was awarded the Comet Bridge project for our client Coeur at the Kensington Mine in Alaska. This project consisted of the replacement of two log stringer bridges with steel forestry bridges. The bridge materials and equipment had to be barged to site and then staged on either sides of the bridge before starting. The first bridge to be set was the 65’ bridge, and it was set in 3 weeks. The replacement bridge was 45’ long and required 2 weeks for installation.
