In 2017 we were offered the opportunity to travel to Washington to perform an emergency stabilization project on Kinross’ K2 Mine. There we stabilized over 2 acres of slope from a major landslide that occurred behind their main shop facility. Here we constructed a storm system to control water run-off. We also had to cut benches, install finger drains, compact slope, and seed the area.
